Snazaroo Face Paint Kit Ultimate Party Pack

This Party Pack Face Paint Kit from Snazaroo was purchased on Amazon. I originally purchased this kit for a friend’s son’s circus themed birthday party in back in 2009. My cousin’s wife had been using it for years for their twin daughters’ birthday parties and it came highly recommended.

This particular party was full of kids from the neighborhood, work friends, and family. The kids lined up and waited calmly for their turn, parents were AMAZED. Yes, the parents.

Why amazed? The kids in line sat quietly and watched each kid get their face or hand painted. They giggled and talked about what they may want to get. After it was their turn, they couldn’t wait to show the other kids!

After this, I was then asked to paint faces (and hands or arms) again at an end of summer party for work. That part being later that summer. The result was so many kids running around with painted on tattoos on their arms. Because you know after one got one, everyone got one! They were showing them off to each other, much like adults do when getting a new tattoo themselves.

A Bit About This Snazaroo Kit

First off, they are animal friendly. Snazaroo does NOT test their products on animals, which is a big plus for me. The paints are dermatologist tested. The paints are easy to apply, and easy to remove.

In my experience, the paint dried quickly. For the end of summer work party I used it for, it wasn’t too hot that day the kids didn’t sweat it off immediately. We did notice it to wash off easily and quickly after the sprinklers were brought out to run through. I imagine if it is super hot and everyone is sweating, you’ll have some paint running, but I didn’t use on a super hot day to know for sure.

What’s Included in the Snazaroo Paint Kit?

This kit comes as a 21 piece set. You’ll receive:

Contents Explained:

The brushes are great for small details or a bit of lettering. My tip is to have at least two glasses of water nearby. One glass of water you’ll want to keep clean and just dip in to activate each color, and the other to rinse off the brush in between colors. Perhaps an assistant to keep that 2nd cup refilled often.

The sponges come in multiple sizes. They’re great for full face paint, to spread color quickly. The sponges are also great to use to add texture for hair, clouds, or anything you may need it for. See the purple minion below. I would recommend grabbing some extra makeup sponges too so that you have enough for each color, because once that sponge dips in the black or purple, you won’t have it for the yellow or white anymore.

The glitter gels add a nice little pop of sparkle. Use these as you feel fit. If its a party with much smaller children, or maybe kids not really into glitter, you can always keep it aside for another day. I didn’t use it much, despite it being out an available.

This pack comes with 12 vibrant face colors. You’ll have your rainbow colors – Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue (light and dark), and Purple. Add to that a Lilac/Pink shade, Brown, White, Grey, and Black. This gives you a wide range of colors to create just about any design.

Lastly, the idea book helps with well – design ideas. In addition to sample photos, any of the designs in the book also tell you what tools and colors you’ll need to help you accomplish that design. I also saved some photos to my phone ahead of time of current popular characters I thought I would be able to pull off.

The Results

So, I should preface this as a reminder that I am not in any way a professional face and hand party painter. This was a fun thing I did for a friend, and then again for a work party. Look more at the paint, than what I attempted to create with the paint. Or the size of a certain hat on a certain Smurf….

Snazaroo Party Face Painting Kit – Final Thoughts

This kit was very easy to use for basic face painting, Spiderman faces, Minions, butterflies, hearts, etc. If you’re looking for something fun and easy to add to your next child friendly oriented event and you have someone willing and able to create some fun designs, this kit will more than pay for itself.

The paint is not thin, like your regular watercolor; it’s not thick either like a craft paint. It’s a nice in between texture, activated with water like a water color, but with nice coverage like a craft paint. It applies and washes off easily. This paint is skin friendly (although always test first if you’re unsure), and best yet not tested on animals.
